Volunteering is a vital part of how The Greenhouse Project works.
We really value the support we get from those of you who donate time, skills and enthusiasm to us.
Your work adds value and diversity that is beyond measure.
WE NEED YOU:
Opportunities to volunteer at The Greenhouse Project:
Management Committee – we are looking for volunteers with good business and finance skills and/or a passion for the arts.
Playdays – we need volunteers to help us deliver play and creative activities during our weekday after school Playday sessions.
After School Pick Ups – we need people to help collect children after school and bring them to The Greenhouse Project.
Early Education – helpers are required for our early years play sessions every weekday morning and afternoon.
Outdoor Spaces – we desperately need people for litter picking, digging, weeding, mowing and planting.
Project Co-ordination – we need people to either assist or take charge of projects and make them happen.
Fundraising – we need people who are skilled at writing funding applications, are full of fundraising ideas.
Admin Support – there are always opportunities to help on reception and with other administrative tasks.
One off Events – we regularly get involved in events on Tiber Square and need a database of people we can call on for support in setting up, stewarding and making things happen.
We understand the nature of volunteering and aim to be as flexible as possible while also maintaining a high quality service and reputation.
Commitment expectations are role dependent and we hope that our volunteers find the experience and vibrancy it brings to their lives mutually beneficial.
New volunteers will be welcomed by and receive an induction from the Volunteer Coordinator.
Your supervisor will go through an induction checklist covering all essential information, policies and procedures and will let you know if you’ll need to undertake any training.
We all know that the essence of volunteering is the donation of one’s services. But while volunteers may not expect remuneration they should not be out of pocket.
Volunteers will be offered reimbursement for reasonable travel expenses.
